Celebrating Iris: National Award Finalist
We are incredibly proud to share that Iris has been selected as a finalist in this year’s National Pupil Library Assistant of the Year Awards. She will attend the awards ceremony in London this March, joining finalists from across the UK—and we are all hoping she brings the title home.
Anyone who knows Iris will recognise her quiet dedication. She never seeks praise, but consistently goes above and beyond: supporting the library team, inspiring younger pupil librarians, running craft sessions, and helping to foster a calm, welcoming space where everyone feels included. Her peers describe her as kind, selfless, supportive and a true cornerstone of the library team—someone who builds confidence in others simply by being herself.
In her roles as Senior Pupil Librarian and Literacy Ambassador, Iris has shown exceptional commitment, enthusiasm and leadership. She has a genuine passion for reading and for creating an inclusive environment for all pupils, and she is already leaving a lasting legacy for those who will follow in her footsteps.
Please congratulate Iris if you see her around school—it’s time she knows just how valued she is. We wish her the very best of luck at the awards and are so proud to celebrate her achievements. 🌟
